Pastoral Care

The institution, inspired by God’s plan—in which everyone is called to love in freedom and truth—is dedicated to serving the entire community. In this sense, it is constantly committed to presenting and proclaiming the faith in the light of the Gospel (the accounts of the life of Jesus Christ).

The pastoral program at Lycée Charles Péguy is at the heart of the school’s mission. It plays a key role in fostering each of the values outlined in that mission. Led by the assistant pastor under the supervision of the principal, the pastoral program aims to:

  • Be open to listening to a wide range of beliefs and embrace people’s diverse life experiences.
  • To foster educational charity, genuine generosity, and constant pedagogical creativity so that everyone may grow in humanity and freely respond to their calling.
  • To offer young people and adults the opportunity to encounter Christ.
  • To promote the building of a just and harmonious society, in light of the Gospel.
  • To radiate the joy and hope that our relationship with God and His Son, Jesus Christ, brings us.

Proposals Open to Everyone

The various pastoral initiatives are neither obligations nor constraints. Everyone is welcome to participate without any form of discrimination, so that together we can build a harmonious community and move forward on the path to responsible citizenship.
All proposals are categorized according to the following two areas:

Human training

These suggestions are intended to allow everyone, according to their age and sensibilities, to express their questions about the meaning of life, their sense of commitment, and the selfless nature of giving of oneself in service to others.
